Brave Care

Brave Care, a modern pediatric healthcare company founded in 2018, partnered with SUM Design Studio + architecture to design a new clinic just outside Portland following the success of their 3,500-square-foot Sellwood/Westmoreland location.

The expanded space nearly doubles in size, featuring bright, playful interiors with concrete floors, lofted ceilings, colorful lighting, and full-height glass walls that connect the lobby and community room. Modern finishes and carefully planned staff areas enhance flow and efficiency.

The design establishes a scalable model for future clinics, reflecting Brave Care’s mission to provide empathetic, child-centered healthcare supported by thoughtful, research-driven design.
