Straub Collaborative
SUM transformed an existing vacant warehouse and cold storage for Straub Collaborative into a modern-industrial creative hub that supports staff, clients, and events. Retaining roughly 80% of the 1950s tilt-concrete and heavy-timber warehouse for photo studios and storage, we added a deck and awning and updated interiors inspired by original brick and concrete architecture.
The design brings together ground-floor and mezzanine offices, huddle and conference rooms, an entertainment lounge, flexible photo studios, and a new patio with awning for staff and client gatherings. Blending raw materials like concrete, glass, stainless steel, carpet, and wood, the space feels both timeless and contemporary.
