Long-time client Insitu enlisted SUM to create a clean, modern and welcoming office space for administrative staff spaces in Hood River, Oregon.  Using a palette of wood, glass, and textural elements, SUM created details that evoke the Gorge setting of the building.  The wood ceiling and reception desk channel the area’s logging history, while a wall with rippling texture reflects the Columbia river as well as the wind that the area is famous for.  

Jennifer Taylor, the company’s faciliites director, spoke highly of the renovation: “This expansion accomodates Insitu’s continued growth in the Gorge community.  We are very excited to have SUM Design Studio create an atmosphere that will be welcoming to our employees as they relocate to this new office space.”
