PRODUCTION DESIGNER

SUM Design Studio + architecture is seeking a Production Designer to join our growing team. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years experience within an architecture or building design firm and hold a 4-year professional degree. Applicants should be detail-oriented, passionate about design, efficient and able to work well both independently and in a team environment.

Job Type: Full-Time

Requirements:

• Experience producing detailed construction documents, including wall, roof, window, door and exterior assembly details.

• Technical proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp and Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

• Knowledge of building code and an ability to understand, interpret and adhere to contract requirements.

• Experience with new construction, commercial tenant improvements and retrofitting existing buildings. Project experience with financial institutions is a plus.

• Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize project tasks and produce high quality work while managing various deadlines.

• Ability to coordinate and communicate with project consultants, contractors and clients.

• Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
