After a lengthy search for new space, The Commons Brewery found the perfect home for its expanded brewing operations and SUM was there to provide the design. The new space on the corner of 7th and Belmont in SE Portland has quickly become an icon in the area's burgeoning brewery district. With restored original character, a warm but casual ambiance, and excellent wine and cheese pairings, the space was well received by The Common's loyal fan base from day one.
SUM Partners with Momentum Inc. on multiple credit union branches in Washington /
For the last several months, SUM and Momentum, Inc have been building a successful partnership which has resulted in several projects to date in the Washington area. Momentum, a design-builder specializing in ground up and renovation projects in the financial and office sectors, has retained SUM Design Studio + architecture as its architect of record. So far the team has worked on two branches for Verity Credit Union in Seattle, and an upcoming branch for First Federal Bank in Bellingham, WA.
