When the owners of Pacific Rim Winery leased the second floor of the Burnside Rocket building, they commissioned sum to design a highly functional workspace that reflected the company’s Asian inspired identity. The suite’s primary design elements include a large, curved bamboo bar set on a bamboo floor located near the main entry, and a commanding partition wall with sliding bamboo doors that stands further back, separating a conference room from the office space. The rest of the space with its exposed concrete floor and ceiling, a large exterior deck, and a long row of operable, south-facing windows is accommodates the staff, who can rearrange the office furniture as needed for wine tastings and other events.
