First Federal Savings & Loan

Designed by SUM to reflect First Federal Savings & Loan’s mission and long-term vision, this new 35,000-square-foot headquarters will soon rise in the heart of downtown McMinnville, spanning an entire city block and anchoring the growing institution in the community it serves.

The building blends timeless materials with a contemporary form, featuring Norman brick, Neolith stone panels, storefront glazing, and glulam accents. A rainscreen envelope, membrane roofing, and conventional framing ensure long-term durability, while biophilic elements and abundant natural light create a healthy, engaging environment for employees.

With flexible interiors and a civic-minded presence, the new headquarters is built to support growth, reflect First Federal’s values, and contribute meaningfully to the fabric of Yamhill County. A public art installation along Third Street, commissioned in partnership with the City of McMinnville, will further connect the space to its surroundings.
